Are you fiduciaries?
We are fiduciaries 100% of the time, which is an enormous benefit to you. Do you want an advisory team that is totally committed to doing the right thing and looking out for your best interests ALL of the time, or just in certain circumstances? As a Registered Investment Advisory firm, we do not have broker-dealer conflicts of interest, so you can have confidence that our advice is based solely on your best interests, not on meeting quotas, sales contests, or other financial goals those big firms inevitably have. They must answer to shareholders’ drive for profits. Our only goal is taking care of our client families and being the best of the best. Being a true fiduciary means we must always unconditionally put our clients’ best interests ahead of our own, regardless of the circumstances.
Who will I be working with if I become a client?
The Centerline Wealth Advisors team works as a cohesive unit. We’re made up of a group of experts with diverse experience in many different areas and disciplines. You will have a main point of contact, but you likely will interact with most or all members of our team over time. We meet regularly so all team members are abreast of your situation, plans, and events in your life that affect our planning for you, so you can rest assured that anytime you need us, we’re here and ready to serve you. Centerline is a family, and our clientele is an extension of that philosophy.
How do I know if I’m a good fit for you, and vice versa?
Our relationships with our clients extend over a lifetime, so we want to make sure that you feel as though we’re a good fit, and we do too. For us to work well together, you would likely be interested in a long-term partnership with a team of professionals you can place your trust in, and who will serve you well with unbiased advice at all times. We never lock our clients into any long-term contracts, but most stay with us for decades. That’s because as we get to know each other, they see that we are professionals with a deep commitment to helping them decipher the complexities of financial planning, investment management, and good stewardship of their finances year after year.
We are likely not a good fit for someone trying to pick hot stocks, dabble in cutting-edge trends, or looking to “beat the market”. We are also not able to help clients looking for one-time projects or hourly planning work.
Would we typically meet in person or remotely?
We prefer in-person meetings as long as it’s convenient for you. We build genuine connections with our clients, and we believe getting to know each other face-to-face is part of that process. We do offer virtual meetings if time or distance is an issue, so it is really your preference. We often meet with clients who live out of town when they come to visit Louisville, or whenever some of our travels as a team take us in the vicinity of their locations.
Do you take “under the table” payments like many brokerage firms do?
No, we do not. Centerline Wealth Advisors is fee-only, and we do not accept any direct payments like the large brokerage firms do. Our philosophy is that unbiased advice needs to be free from major conflicts of interest like this. Our advice is solely motivated by our desire to help you realize your goals and dreams, and we don’t want third parties standing in the way of the delivery of our value proposition.
